"On the Ground"

This was taken in Artemas, Pennsylvania in May of 2008. It’s a pewter chalice on the ground, just like the title says.

I think it’s the simplicity of this image that I like so much. The chalice also has great personal significance to me: I put it at this very location many years ago. (It’s a forest shrine on a friend’s property.)
